Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills and help you feel connected to those you are helping in your local community.

We have a wide range of volunteers who help out on our board as well as in our youth, childcare and counselling projects.  Our volunteers include young people gaining new skills, people who can spare a few hours a week to support us as well as retired people with some time to spare.

Each aspect of HFT’s work has been started by volunteers and continues with volunteering at the heart of our activities.

What you can expect from us

You will receive an Induction Pack and Volunteer Handbook along with a Role Description and training specific to your project.

You will be involved in team meetings to plan, share information and support you. Our friendly teams are supportive, encouraging and welcoming to all our volunteers.

You will be encouraged and supported to acquire new skills to benefit you and the project you are volunteering in.

Plus you will make new friends and have a great time!
